AHOY BOATIES
Its nearly summer so mark your almanac for the 3rd January 2026 for the New Year Picnic.
.NOTE:   YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT – REGISTRATION CLOSES 16 DECEMBER
This is a new event for the LRC&WBA and we hope that you will be able to bring your friends & family and of course your boats to enjoy a day on the water, to see in the New Year in true nautical style. The whole idea is for a very relaxed and enjoyable day on the lake and to showcase our fleet to all those other lake users by being on the water en-masse..
.
The format of the event will be casual and as follows:
Boats will assemble at various start points [TBA] prior to departure at 1100 SHARP.
1100 hrs is a very notable time for boaties as the sun will be over the yardarm and we all know what that means.
We will run three separate courses catering for Leisurely, Quick & Sailing fleets.

The plan is to complete our courses and then gather at Wairau Bay at 1300 hours, for a provided picnic lunch (hamper) and a social get together. No need to bring the left-overs from NY Eve, and your catering crew will be able to relax too.  BYO drinks.

We have arranged for delicious Lunch Hampers produced by the Terrace Kitchen, which will be delivered to Wairau Bay. You simply collect them on arrival. Costs for the Hampers is $35/head and will be included in the registration for this event.

Your registration covers the event organisation, your Picnic Hampers and of course the Liability Disclaimer (see the fine print on registration form).
